Brugge – Provincial Palace

Not only is it the House of the West Fleming, this neo-Gothic building is also an events venue where various activities can be enjoyed.
The beach at Cadzan-Bad

Cadzand-Bad’s unique scenic charm lies in its wide, gently sloping, fine sandy beaches and expansive dunes that extend into the Belgian-Dutch nature reserve “Het Zwin.” Especially at low tide, Cadzand-Bad’s wide sandy beaches invite you to sunbathe, swim in the North Sea, stroll along the beach, take a dip in the tide, or search for shark teeth and mussels. A beach walk is ideal for active people, and a kitesurfing or catamaran sailing competition is ideal for the sporty.
Museumcafé Het Koekoeksnest

The Koekoeksnest isn’t just a café; it’s a museum café. Accessible to all ages and housed in a beautiful, historic barn. And when it comes to children, we’re proud to say we’re extremely child-friendly!
The Koekoeksnest is tucked away behind the St. Jansdijk, just outside Nieuwvliet. It’s barely visible from the outside, but you’ll be amazed by what you’ll find inside! Anyone who enters won’t know where to look first. A common exclamation is: “You’ll be amazed!”
Everywhere you look are statues, sets, puppets, and automatic instruments. And if you look up, you’ll see the ship the Flying Spaniard passing by, while time recedes. Yes, the hands of the clock, which is one and a half meters in diameter, turn backward. Even the tables you sit at are unique; each table features a unique piece of decor.
Before you sit down, feel free to wander around and soak up the unique ambiance.
To fully immerse yourself in the experience, you can activate the automated orchestra. Pianolas, recorder organs, self-playing string instruments… there’s even an automated steel drum. All 18 of these instruments are unique and cannot be seen or heard like this anywhere else in the world.
