The Main Tower
The Main Tower dates from the year 1532 and is built of limestone and brick. A restaurant is now located in the Hoofdtoren. If you sit here on the terrace in good weather, you are in one of the best spots in Hoorn.
Korenmarkt
The Korenmarkt is a street and former harbor in the center of the North Holland city of Hoorn. The street is built on one side. The moat is spanned by two bridges. Both bridges are protected as national monuments.
Oostereiland
The Oostereiland is an artificial island that was built in the harbor of the city of Hoorn between 1662 and 1668. The island was formed by building dams and later raising and widening them. Soon after the creation of the island, Mr. Cornelis Janszoon Schuijt had houses and warehouses built there, including a warehouse for the Admiralty. The access road to the island, the Schuijteskade, is also named after him.
