Walk Kruisvest Bruges
The section of the 1297 Bruges ramparts situated between the Dampoort and the Kruispoort is known as the Kruisvest; it takes its name from the Kruispoort and the municipality of Sint-Kruis, with which it forms a boundary. The stretch from the Kruispoort to the Dampoort consists of a wide promenade atop the former fortifications. Four old windmills stand here: the Sint-Janshuismolen, the Koeleweimolen, the Bonne-Chièremolen, and the Nieuwe Papegaai. The Sint-Janshuismolen and the Koeleweimolen remain in working order.
